草榴社区 Container

A 草榴社区 container has OS libraries and other dependencies that minimize the possibility of failure due to missing dependencies at run-time. This is especially useful for running applications on heterogeneous clients or in a cloud environment.

Many Linux-based 草榴社区 tools are enabled to access a 草榴社区 container. (The tools do not reside in the container but can access it.) 

OS Prerequisite:  The following Linux x86_64 distributions are supported for the 草榴社区 Container:

  • CentOS or RHEL 7.x (7.3 minimum) 
  • RHEL, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux 8.x (8.4+)
  • SLES 12.x (12 SP5+) 
  • SLES 15.x (15+)

Using a 草榴社区 container provides the following benefits:

  • A consistent, controlled runtime environment
  • The correct version of required OS libraries and other dependencies
  • The ability to run application on heterogeneous host machines

Download the 草榴社区 Container binaries from the SolvNet Download Center (choose “草榴社区 Container” as the product).  Then use the container_setup.sh utility included with 草榴社区 Installer 5.6 or later to install, configure and deploy the container.
