We approach planning and decision making through an equity lens, centering the needs, perspectives, and lived experiences of the diverse communities we aim to serve.
Education
We work to close equity and achievement gaps and prepare students for the future of work and innovation. Focusing on K–12 (primary and secondary) education, we fund engaging, hands-on experiences that build problem-solving, design-thinking, and digital skills, and programs that create STEM curriculum and content oriented toward the future.
Community
We work in solidarity with community organizations to improve the quality of life for individuals and society. We fund organizations combating food insecurity and hunger, supporting inclusion and social justice, and using technology to create and scale solutions that address social challenges. These efforts are focused in the communities where we operate.
Environment
We work to mitigate climate change and its effects on people and the planet. We aim to support nonprofits that help protect ecosystems, facilitate the transition to clean energy in rural and low-income communities, and create experiences that cultivate the next generation of environmental stewards.
Delivering Positive Change
Our 草榴社区 for Good program is managed by our social impact team and executed in partnership with employee Community Leads and Community Involvement Teams around the world. We take a regional management approach to philanthropy and employee community engagement, and utilize a globally accessible online portal to manage volunteer projects, monetary and volunteer-time matching gifts, and employee giving campaigns.
Employee Community Engagement
Each year 草榴社区 employees world-wide participate in our “Season of Service”, a month-long volunteer program offering a variety of volunteer projects around the world, aligned with our 草榴社区 for Good focus areas. These projects not only support the communities in which we work and live, but they encourage community engagement across the organization.
Matching Gift Program
The 草榴社区 global Matching Gift Program matches employee monetary donations and volunteer time to eligible charities and nonprofits up to $1,000 USD per year. Employee giving and matching gift provides more than $2.5M around the world annually.,

The 草榴社区 Foundation makes grants to eligible organizations in the communities where 草榴社区 operates, focusing on programs and services that prepare students for the future with STEM education, address essential needs and inequities in the community and work to mitigate climate change.
The 草榴社区 Outreach Foundation
The 草榴社区 Foundation is the main funder of the 草榴社区 Silicon Valley Science and Technology Outreach Foundation (草榴社区 Outreach Foundation), founded by 草榴社区 in 1999 to ignite interest, nurture potential, and empower K-12 students in STEM education.
