The Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC) develops benchmarks to help system designers select the optimal processors and understand the performance and energy characteristics of their systems. EEMBC benchmarks are built upon objective, clearly defined, application-based criteria. The EEMBC benchmarks reflect real-world applications and have expanded beyond processor benchmarks, also heavily focusing on benchmarks for Smartphones/Tablets and Browsers (including Android platforms) and networking firewall appliances.
